Seija is a soprano of Australian/Finnish origin. She lives in London and regularly performs in the UK and Europe. She has a Masters degree from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music (Hons.) from The University of Melbourne, Australia.

Seija has a unique voice which is capable of great flexibility and variety. Her repertoire includes Brahms’ Requiem, Bach’s St John’s Passion, Britten’s Les Illuminations, Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915, Maria (Westside Story), Papagena (The Magic Flute) Page (Rigoletto) and excerpts as 1st Lady (The Magic Flute) Tatyana (Onegin) and Linda (Linda di Chamounix). She also performs regularly with the opera/crossover groups Incognito Artists and Appassionata.
In 2007 Seija was chosen to sing the English and Russian National Anthems to a crowd of 86,000 at Wembley Stadium. This was for the England/Russia Euro 2008 qualifying match. Since arriving in London she has also had opportunities to perform at St Martin in Fields, Wigmore Hall, The Barbican and The Linbury Theatre at the Royal Opera House.

Seija is a multi-talented performer having studied classical ballet for fifteen years and contemporary dance for three years. She also studied acting part-time during her undergraduate degree which led her to join a modelling and acting agency. She has featured in many Australian television commercials and also had roles as an extra in Australian television dramas, including “The Secret Life of Us’
